It's an extremely realistic one, thats for sure. But now days, with cameras on most phones, Apple wouldn't kill itself by not putting one on. This would've been expected... oh... bout 3 years ago. But whoever made this image, good work!

I really like this design and it looks like the iPod video I already have :) I am a Pocket PC phone user and programmer and it would be great if Microsoft, Apple and Motorola made the best phone of all. With Windows Mobile 5.0 we could add our own apps we create as well as purchase applications for it. This could open a whole new market for Apple. I could just image a phone with 80GB Harddrive, 1 gig of flash memory. Plenty of space for Pocket PC/Windows Mobile 5.0 applications, iTunes, iPhone on a single phone. Microsoft already has applications for the phone (contacts, email, notes and etc.) and with iPhone, iTunes on this phone it would be fantastic. I would buy that for 599.00 in a second! :)
Not the best design but perhaps the best rendering? The Screen is too small and I cannot see Steve Jobs going with something so obvious iPhone 006 is what it will look like.

In my opinion this phone just wouldn't work as well as the one second to the bottom. yes its typical of an ipod but nothing too special about it, its also kind of ugly and would be akwuard to use being very flat shaped and small. whats up with the little turn wheel? iphone oo2 is the winner.
it looks cool when you think it's supposed to be a phone. BUT, wheres the speaker, wheres the mic? Something this thin cant possibly have a long battery life. I LOVE the colored lighted phone buttons though.

This is actually the closest thing to the iPhone on this site. Screen is a lil too big for the initial version and the interface is more like Os X than iPod but apprt from that its I'm pretty impressed.
i dont like the green and red (call and disconnect) keys... maybe they should have the same colors as the rest of the keys with the disconnect key having a different graphic.
What’s the point in this? its just like the Motorola razor slim, sure if apple wants to make cell phone guess this is a decent design but its not unique like the companies other products. If they make a cell phone then it should be unique and different from the rest of the cell phones offered

Ok, I tried Earthcomber and they already have a iPhone-tuned safari site. Very nice - looks "native". Since we can't get real GPS, it's especially handy to have all their emulation options. And it's nice to get above all the mapping. That's pretty, and fun, but with Earthcomberit’s a total informational upgrade from map-focused programs like Google maps – it’s like Earthcomer was meant for the iphone.
It’s clean, easy, noticably fast considering we're not on 3G. If you've never done Earthcomber, you have to be ready to think of it as sort of like personal radar - it looks for things in batches that you can tune (or delete, or compose). The cool thing is that you not only get the necessities nearby but also my personal points of interest and things like old mansions and dog parks I didn’t know were there. It basically, yes, "combs" the world around you. Or I should say, the US only. But then again, the iphone only works in the US, so that kinda takes care of that. It would be nice if they'd let you customize in the iPhone version, but you have to go over to the www.earthcomber.com if you want to set it up to pick your own stuff.

I think the screen is waaaaay too small. I would rather have a bigger screen than a key pad. I don't need the numbers. I want to be able to look at my pictures, watch a movie, and do stuff on my phone. I think the numbers take up entirely too much room.

ReplyDeleteOk, I tried Earthcomber and they already have a iPhone-tuned safari site. Very nice - looks "native". Since we can't get real GPS, it's especially handy to have all their emulation options. And it's nice to get above all the mapping. That's pretty, and fun, but with Earthcomberit’s a total informational upgrade from map-focused programs like Google maps – it’s like Earthcomer was meant for the iphone.
It’s clean, easy, noticably fast considering we're not on 3G. If you've never done Earthcomber, you have to be ready to think of it as sort of like personal radar - it looks for things in batches that you can tune (or delete, or compose). The cool thing is that you not only get the necessities nearby but also my personal points of interest and things like old mansions and dog parks I didn’t know were there. It basically, yes, "combs" the world around you. Or I should say, the US only. But then again, the iphone only works in the US, so that kinda takes care of that. It would be nice if they'd let you customize in the iPhone version, but you have to go over to the www.earthcomber.com if you want to set it up to pick your own stuff.
