I agree that the design is not very apple-like. But I love the wireless headphones that are part of the product. That is apple like - to have the whole thing one fully designed product (not making you have to buy third-party additions).
This is the best one on this page... Wireless headseat will have to be standard! But, where's the keyboard? Touchscreen? Or not? Looks like nothing I've seen before, that's what is great about Apple. It is all I expect from Apple. It will have to be better than this though.
When you have the glossy screen taking up 95% of the surface (like so many of the designs here, remember that it can get kind of gross -- you have the thing against your face! It's going to get dirty and greasy from your skin!
My friend, save this design in the future. Not this time because if this is your time then I will salute you two hundred percent than in all other designs here. I like your job and keep it up...
it's titanium, so while thin, it is extremely strong. the bottom does slide out to reveal a few more details. the big screen would get smeared though, dunno how to get around that one.
I like it ... very good concept ... It's not too thin and all screens get dirty ... you can wipe it off ... the only usability issue is when you hold a phone the bottom is covered by your fingers ... if you could center the screen i think it would be more useable.

Thanks Everyone, I really think the real iPhone design is better than mine except for one part. I like how mine accepts add-ons and upgradeability better than apple's. I went more for the metal look, like the current shuffle.
I'm going to be in line for the iPhone in June when it comes out. It's Years ahead of anything else out there. Apple did a wonderful job with the UI especially.

Its great that this design went without "the wheel". On the money for design and pretty much the real thing. Apple is onto the multi-touch now, just wait for the tablet. Well done John!

I knew that multi touch screen video from before, and I thought the same when I saw the presentation of the iPhone...I guess Apple is a corporative as big and "corporativistic" as any other..(they stole the "widget" name to arlo rose and company without shame...for example)....but, then...it's all too sweet in apple..I like that bastard of Steve Jobs.. as I said before..this concept was amazingly close the 'real' thing.. great!

I LOVE your design John. I don't know why anyone would say it's unrealistic when years ago the Razr and especially the iPhone (real one) would be viewed as unrealistic.
In fact, I think your design is better than th real one, and I'll bet you anything that the same way Razr influenced the shell design clones, a design like your's will be a common future model. If it were out at the same time as the iPhone, I'd consider your's.

Greetings! About two years ago, a friend came to me with a letter. She asked me to research the fact that this letter was indeed legal. I told my friend I would review it and get back to her. I told her I had taken the letter to the post office and they told me the letter she brought to me was 100% legal.
I was still curious about the letter, so my friend explained to me how it works. I thought it seemed like a long shot, so I decided against participating, but before my friend left I asked her to keep me updated on her results. About two months later, she called me to tell me she had received $800,000 in cash. I didn’t believe her, so she asked me to try this idea and find out for myself. I thought about it for a couple of days and decided I didn’t have anything to lose, so I asked her for a copy of the letter. I followed the instructions exactly, mailed 200 copies, and sure enough the money started coming in! It arrived slowly at first, but after about three weeks, I was getting more mail than I could open in a day! After about three months the money stopped coming. I kept a precise record of my earnings and in the end it totaled $978,493.00! I could hardly believe it. I met with my friend for lunch to find out exactly how it worked. She told me there are quite a few similar letters around, but this one is different because there are six names at the end of the letter, not five like some others. This fact alone results in your name being in far more returns.
By now you are surely curious to know what small change I made. If you sent a letter like this out, in order to be completely legal, you must actually sell something in the list; you must include these words, “Please put me on your mailing list” and include your address. This is the key to the program. The item you will receive for the dollar you send to six people below is the letter.
This system works if you will just try it. You must follow the simple instructions exactly, and in less than three months, you will receive over $800,000. Guaranteed!
1. Immediately send $1.00 to each of the six people on the list at the end of this letter. Wrap the dollar bill in a note saying, “Please add me to your mailing list and include your address.
2. Delete the name in the number one spot and move the others up one place (2 becomes 1, 3 becomes 2, etc.) Put your name in the sixth position.
3. Copy this article. Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to original as possible.
4. post at least 200 copies of the letter with your name and address in the sixth slot on message boards, news groups, chat rooms etc.. .
5. Keep a copy of this letter so you can use it a second time. When your name reaches #1, send out six more dollars and post your name at #6 to keep receiving money.
6. Note: This service is 100% legal. Refer to title 18, section 1302 and 1342 of the U.S. Postal and Lottery Laws.
How does it work? :
When you post 200 letters, it is estimated that at least 15 people will respond and send you $1.00,you make $15.00
Those 15 post 200 letters each and 225 people send $1.00, you make $225.00
Those 225 post 200 letters each and 3,375 people send you $1.00, you make $3,375.00
Those 3,375 post 200 letters each and 50,625 people send you $1.00,you make $50,625.00
Those 50,625 post 200 letters each and 759,375 people send you $1.00, you make $759,375.00
At this point your name drops off the list, but so far you have received $813,615.00
